Italy has announced the 26 called up for the European Championship. The cuts have been announced: the players who will not be part of the European expedition are Gianluca Mancini, Matteo Politano and Matteo Pessina. The latter, however, did not leave the retirement of the national team, as did the first two.
Pessina, in fact, remains for the moment aggregated to the group of 26 who, under the orders of the coach, are working hard to prepare the continental event.
Matteo Pessina does not leave Italy’s retirement: that’s why
The European regulation lets you make any change within the squad of 26 – enlarged moreover for the particular historical period – in the event that it should occur the injury of a player on the list before the manifestation begins.
The conditions of Verratti and Sensi are constantly monitored, ed this is the reason why Mancini has chosen to keep Pessina: if one of the two does not give particular physical guarantees, it would be the Atalanta midfielder to complete the squad list of Italy for Euro 2021.
