A 3-year-old boy is hospitalized in serious condition at the Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo following an accident that occurred around noon in Paderno Dugnano (MI).
The little boy was run over in via Amendola by a car driven by a 70-year-old, who entered the traffic-free Parco Lago Nord with a Citroën.
The man lost control of the car along a slope, knocked down a fence and fell on the edge of an artificial lake, overwhelming a family of three who were taking souvenir photos.
Unharmed father and mother, the car instead hit the three-year-old son.
According to initial information, the child was resuscitated on the spot and taken by helicopter rescue to the Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo, where he arrived conscious. The driver of the car was also less seriously injured.
