In the last 24 hours in Italy, 2,897 positive cases of coronavirus and 62 deaths due to COVID-19 have been detected. Currently the hospitalized are 6,791 (390 less than yesterday), of which 933 in the intensive care wards (56 less than yesterday) and 5,858 in the other wards (334 less than yesterday). 120,026 molecular swabs and 106,246 rapid antigenic tests were analyzed. The percentage of positive molecular swabs was 2.3 percent, while that of antigen tests was 0.2 percent. On Tuesday, 2,483 infections were recorded and 93 died.
The regions that have recorded more cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (519), Campania (388), Sicily (289), Lazio (211), Puglia (196).
