A three-year-old boy transported by helicopter to the hospital with the utmost urgency. At the moment, this is the balance of a dramatic accident that took place in Paderno Dugnano (Milan), between the Parco Lago Nord and the Parco Toti, in the late morning of Wednesday 2 June. The little one was walking in the company of his family, near the lake. Like so many other people, the family was walking on the day of the Republic Day.
Suddenly, at noon, for reasons unknown at the moment, a Ford Focus passing in the upper part fell from the hill, overwhelming the family. The child was very serious, unconscious upon the arrival of help (initially three ambulances and a 118 self-doctor rushed to the scene). The doctors performed a heart massage while waiting for the helicopter from Bergamo, with which the child was then transferred in red code to Pope John. Also on site were the firefighters of Desio and Seregno and the carabinieri of Sesto San Giovanni, as well as the mayor of Paderno Ezio Casati.
According to an initial reconstruction reported by the carabinieri who intervened, the motorist would have taken a stretch of downhill path not allowed for cars, in a completely different direction from the exit, going against the wooden fences along the way and finishing the race plunging a few meters towards the lake. It is assumed that the man had accused an illness but, on this point, medical examinations are also underway.
The driver was also injured
The 27-year-old father of the child refused transport to the emergency room. The motorist was also injured, a 70-year-old extracted from the car by the fire brigade and then transported by the health workers to the Niguarda in Milan in yellow code. At the time of the accident, many people were in the park, thanks to the sunny day and the Republic Day.
