(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 17 – We are moving towards a new postponement of the Milanese trial on the Ruby ter case that sees Silvio Berlusconi and 28 other people accused, including many young guests of the evenings in Arcore and then, according to the prosecution, witnesses reticent, because you pay, in the trials on the Ruby case. The defense of the former prime minister, who was discharged last Saturday from San Raffaele, has filed, in fact, a new instance of legitimate impediment for health reasons for next Wednesday’s hearing.
Hearing that, therefore, will be held in the Court in Milan, before the seventh penalty, and not in the maxi hall of the Fair (where the hearings are held for the testimony of witnesses for the restrictions due to Covid), and will be used to discuss the request for impediment and postponement of the hearing. The testimony of the Cavaliere’s trusted accountant, Giuseppe Spinelli, was scheduled for Wednesday.
The college, chaired by Marco Tremolada, in the last hearing on April 28, had decided to suspend the process, “with also the suspension of the statute of limitations”, until the “date of resignation” of the leader of FI, hospitalized for complications related to post Covid and is now observing a period of rest and care at home.
The Court had also clarified that it could be “appropriate to carry out an expert opinion when, once discharged, the persistence of the current conditions will be reported by the defense”. On Wednesday there will be a discussion in the classroom on the impediment and the postponement.
Meanwhile, the ongoing trial in Siena, again a strand of the Ruby ter case, against Berlusconi and the Arcore pianist Danilo Mariani for corruption in judicial acts has been postponed for sentence to 21 October. Mariani, however, in the meantime has already been sentenced to 2 years for perjury. (HANDLE).
