The success does not stop Khaby Lame, the Italian phenomenon of TikTok that from Chivasso has conquered 50 million fans all over the world. The social rise of the twenty-one year old has passed in these hours also for the recognition of the man who has made social networks what they are today: Mark Zuckerberg. The founder of Facebook has in fact intervened in these hours for reply to a message indirectly addressed to him by the tiktoker, in an interaction that then went around the web.

Khaby’s provocation

It all happened last week on Instagram, where Khaby has a profile of 11 million followers on which he is proposing the winning formula of the videos that he has been uploading to TikTok for months now. In one of his latest clips, the boy wanted to make a joking comparison with the followers of Mark Zuckerberg, who is also the master of Instagram: the number one of Facebook acquired the app in 2012 paying it a billion dollars, but all he has just 7.5 million followers. The starting point was enough for the boy for a friendly attack on Zuckerberg, “ousted” from his role as “boss” in just two weeks of Khaby’s activity on the social network.

Zuckerberg’s answer

In the content, users are asked to mention Zuckerberg in exchange for the possibility of being followed by the boy, and the ploy has evidently caught the attention of the CEO of the Facebook group. Among the fan comments, in a few hours it is Mark Zuckerberg’s also appeared, actually rather terse: the founder of Facebook responded to the content simply with the emoji of the thumb up. However, the interaction between the two has also become viral: the video was appreciated by more than 2.5 million people, while Zuckerberg’s response received more than 130,000 likes.
