In Lombardy the post office vaccine booking system starts
From Friday 2 April in Lombardy it will be possible to book covid vaccines with the new system created by Poste Italiane and it will be possible to do so following a calendar based on age. This was announced by the Region which presented the mechanism on Thursday (at first, in a note it was said that the system started on April 3). The meeting was attended by among others the leaders of the Region, Attilio Fontana, Letizia Moratti, Guido Bertolaso and the chief digital technology operating officer of Poste Italiane Mirko Mischiatti.
After the many misunderstandings and inefficiencies of the company in the Region, Aria, whose board of directors has resigned en bloc, Lombardy, as in other parts of Italy, has chosen Poste Italiane.
How to book the vaccine in Lombardy with Poste Italiane
The Poste platform is intended for Lombard people who do not fall into the priority categories, i.e. over 80, frail subjects and school staff. From Friday 2 April it will be possible to make appointments to receive the vaccine administration directly online (at this link) or through the call center, at 800.894.545 which will answer from Monday to Friday from 9 to 18 except holidays, the ATMs of Poste and, finally, through the tablet that the postmen are equipped with.
To book, you will need to respect the calendar by age group (you can find it at the bottom of the article) and you will only need to be in possession of your valid health card and a smartphone on which to receive communications about the date of vaccination. Of course, those who have already received the call after having booked with the Aria system, will not have to repeat the procedure.
