Fatal accident at the Mugello circuit during the Italian motorcycling cup.

The victim is a 59-year-old driver, Stelvio Boaretto, engaged in the Italian amateur trophy, category 1000 Advanced. Immediately rescued and revived on the track by the medical staff of Mugello after a race accident where he suffered very serious injuries, the 59-year-old was transported to the circuit medical center where he died.

Originally from Padua and a veterinarian by profession, Boaretto was a great fan of motorcycling.

Federmoto, the promoter of the trophy, and the Mugello circuit jointly decided to stop the event.

“In this dramatic moment – said IMF president Giovanni Copioli – I join the family with condolences and participation. A fatality has deprived us of a true enthusiast and has ravaged a Trophy where passion is the protagonist”.
