The telephone and internet service operator began recording inefficiencies around 10.30 pm on 8 May and in a few tens of minutes the reports to specialized sites and comments on social networks with the reference hashtag increased exponentially in Italy. The situation gradually normalized in the night between Saturday and Sunday.
The reports mainly concerned the fixed network and in particular landline internet connection: fewer reports on the telephone front; fewer reports on the mobile front.
The telephone company has made efforts to try to manage the many reports received and resolve the problem reported by users as soon as possible.
