Waiting to find out if DualSense will actually be produced for PlayStation 5 in new colors, the next-generation console continues to be substantially unavailable.
Each new stock of PS5 it is in fact quickly sold out following the strong demand for the hardware by consumers, with many enthusiasts who have not yet had the opportunity to buy a unit of the console. To try to distribute a more PlayStation 5, Sony is looking to increase production, although optimism does not appear to be too strong.
Lately, Hiroki Totoki, CFO of Sony, in fact, he offered some considerations on the matter, which, however, do not offer much hope. “As I said, – he began – we are aiming to achieve higher sales volume than the PlayStation 4, but can we drastically increase the offer? The answer is no, it’s not likely. The shortage of semiconductors is one of the aspects, but there are also other factors that will have un impact on production. So, at the moment, we would like to overcome the 14.8 million units sold in the second year on the market, which was the result achieved by the PlayStation 4“.
In the meantime, rumors have emerged linked even to a redesign of the PlayStation 5 aimed precisely at speeding up production.
