FQChart is the weekly arithmetic average of the polls on the voting intentions of Italians exclusively for Il Fatto Quotidiano. All the polls published by the major polling institutions in the week just ended contribute to the average.
Week from 26/4 to 2/5/2021.
Five institutions considered this week, everyone agrees on the performance of the first Italian party, the Lega, which moves away from 22, losing half a percentage point and slipping to 21,7% average (even 21.2% for Index Research).
There is less agreement on the results of the other parties: in particular, it is the EMG data that differ most from those of the other institutes.
This is the case with the Democratic party (19% average this week) which for the Fabrizio Masia survey is 15.8%, while for Nando Pagnoncelli (Ipsos for Il Corriere della Sera) it is 20.9%.
The same goes for the M5s but in reverse, considered the second party in Italy by EMG with 20.1% and fourth by all the other institutes. In the weekly chart the grillini are still at 17.3%.
Instead, there is greater convergence on Brothers of Italy, third in the general average but still on the rise with 18% (almost 19% for Ipsos and Tecnè).
Still a good result for the group Left / LeU to 3.8% (+0.4), mostly due to the positive trend of the Italian Left, now almost always evaluated independently by Article 1.
The negative trend continues for two political forces of the government majority, despite the figures of some undersecretaries: + Europe and Italy Viva. Particularly negative is the week of Matteo Renzi’s party, which fell below 2% for SWG and Tecnè, but “saved” once again by 4% of EMG; its average balance this week is 2.4%, while + Europe stops at 1.4%.
