Important appointment in Scansano for the national youth mountain bike. The calendar of the off-road sector of the FCI proposes, on Sunday 9 May, the important appointment of the 1st City of Scansano trophy. The off-road competition obviously speaks of the Olympic specialty of cross country considering that bikers from the Beginners (13/14 years) and Allievi (15/16), Junior (17/18 years) categories will be engaged at the start is valid as proof of circuit of the Centro Italia Youth Grand Prix and test of the Italian Youth Club Championship.

A presence of about 600 bikers is expected in that of Scansano, for an important day also for the Tuscan territory, and the youth movement in the area.

Scansano is an Italian town of about 4500 inhabitants in the province of Grosseto and is known for having given the name to Morellino di Scansano, a DOCG red wine produced in the area.

Everything is ready for the big event with the national technician Enrico Martello who has prepared a 3200 meter track, which winds its way through the slopes of Mr. Enrico Riva’s Gli Olmi & La Poderina farmhouse restaurant, a structure completely available for organizing the event. . The event is heavily sponsored by the local municipal administration, with the mayor, dr. Francesco Marchi (together with his council) who worked to bring this event to his city. Obviously, all the indications and procedures regarding the safety of all will be put in place, adopting all the covid regulations, imposed by the various competent bodies. A big thank you also goes to all the sponsors who allow the event to be held.
