Schools reopen at the peak of the fourth wave of the coronavirus, and there are those who are gearing up to defend the health of students and professors by resorting to funds provided by the government precisely to cope with the Covid emergency. The Valsalice of Turin, which has about 900 middle school and high school students, has decided to purchase air sanitization devices for the return to class after the Christmas holidays.

The director of Valsalice Pier Majnetti explains in a message to the parents that it is «a system of fans that channels the air inside the device: the air in contact with ultraviolet light comes out sanitized. This UV-C controlled emission sanitation system kills up to 99.6% of viruses and bacteria and has no contraindications, because it avoids harmful direct contact with ultraviolet rays and prevents the production of Ozone “.

«It seemed to us – says the director – an important purchase to continue our work of safety and prevention for health, together with the desire to further reduce the inconvenience we experience with our children in the hours spent in Valsalice. Each classroom will be equipped with this device, which will allow, among other things, to keep the windows closed on the outside, opening them only in time changes as in the past. So there will be warmer in the classroom and less heat loss ».

The purchase of the devices cost € 27,500.
