A consistent growth of all indicators of the epidemic: infections, hospitalizations, intensive care and deaths. With the’weekly incidence which in more than half of the country exceeds the threshold of 150 new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. But also one vaccination campaign that goes back to running: in view of the entry into force of the super green pass, in the period 29 November-5 December 223 thousand people have chosen to receive the first dose e i recalls they have been over 2.6 million. What brings together the data is the new monitoring of the Gimbe foundation: in the week 1-7 December 2021, the report detects, a + 22% of new cases compared to the previous one (105,771 vs 86,412) and a + 12% of deaths (558 vs 498). The current positives also increased (240,894 vs 194,270, + 24%), people in home isolation (234,040 vs 188,360, + 24.3%), ordinary departments (6,078 vs 5,227, + 16.3%) and those in intensive care (776 vs 683, +13,6%).

While in well 52 provinces out of 110 the incidence is equal to or greater than the threshold of 150 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which at the regional level is one of the indicators that trigger the orange zone. The worst situation is in the province of Trieste (694), followed by Bolzano (651), Treviso (467) e Padova (405). The average deaths in week 1-7 December was 80 every day, compared to 71 the previous week.
As for the immunization campaign, the report points out that in the week 29 november–December 5th (immediately before the entry into force of the “super green pass” downloadable only by vaccinated persons) the number of new first doses has risen to 223.116 (+ 31.7%) compared to 169.397 of the previous week. In the week there have been 3,000,485 new administrations (+ 46.8%) with a moving average of 461,452 per day: they increased by 52,6% the third doses (2.644.894) and del 31,7% the newly vaccinated (223,116). TOA total of 9.609.029 third doses with a moving average that exceeded 400 thousand doses per day. I am however still 6.6 million people without even a dose, of which they worry on the one hand 2.51 million over 50 (at high risk of serious illness and hospitalization), on the other 1.09 million in the 12-19 age group, which increase the circulation of the virus in schools. THE target daily defined by the commissioner for the period 1-7 December (varying between 350 thousand and 450 thousand vaccines per day) were exceeded on all days, with the exception of Sunday 5 December: overall they were administered 480,162 more doses compared to the 2,750,000 expected.
On the hospital front, there is a further increase in the number of beds occupied by Covid patients: +16,3% in the medical area and +13,6% in intensive care compared to the previous week. At the national level, as of December 7, the employment rate is 10% in the medical area and the 9% in the critical area, with significant regional differences: the thresholds of 15% for the medical area and 10% for the critical area are both exceeded in Calabria (16% medical area and 11% critical area), Friuli Venezia Giulia (24% medical area and 16% critical area) e South Tyrol (20% medical area and 17% critical area). Furthermore, for the medical area, the Valle d’Aosta (20%), while for the critical area they exceed the threshold Lazio (11%), Liguria (12%), Walk (12%), Trentino (13%) e Veneto (12%).
