Noise pollution: Milan the noisiest

Amplifon has several programs to analyze the impact of noise pollution on our lives. Over the past summer he supported the Noise Escape Challenge, an initiative in collaboration with the international association Aiesec (the largest student association in the world). It was enough to use the noise tracker of the Amplifon APP Listen Responsibly to touch the sounds of the city with your hand (or, better said, with your ear). The result? Turin, Cremona and Venice are oases of acoustic pleasure, while Milan, Lecce and Verona are noisy little hells on earthto. Yes, the city of Milan is at the top of the charts (and not in a good way)! It reaches this sad record for a combination of causes: from the sometimes obsolete means of transport (metro and tram in the first place), to the massive use of private petrol cars (we are not talking about the pleasure of driving on the Milanese cobblestones), passing through the sound horns, alarms and loud music in the clubs. In addition to Listen Responsibly, Amplifon supported another proposal, this time created by the Neapolitan startup Otohub: the app Talk to you later. This app travels on the same tracks as the summer experiment: it allows you to create a noise pollution map of the city, identifying the critical points and the “oases of silence”. In short, nothing better than the “Tripadvisor noise” (as the app has been renamed) to create awareness on such a hot topic when that of noise pollution prevention: However, the more we live in noise, the more we endanger our hearing!
