Tragic accident at work, on the afternoon of Saturday 4 December, inside a pizza restaurant in Parabiago. A 42-year-old man who was crushed by the oven he was repairing and died. The fatal accident occurred around 2.40 pm inside the former Emy pizzeria, a place under renovation due to a change of management located in via IV Novembre, 49.
From a first reconstruction by the rescuers, the man – worker in charge of the restructuring of the place – was working on the plant for cooking pizzas when he was crushed by the oven itself, probably suddenly collapsed. The worker didn’t even have time to ask for help. A few minutes later, the owner returned to the restaurant and was absent to go to lunch. As soon as he noticed the situation, the businessman called 118 and the carabinieri.
Unfortunately, when the rescuers arrived in via IV Novembre, there was nothing more for the man to do. The 118 doctor could not help but ascertain the death of the worker. In addition to the carabinieri and the Red Cross, the firefighters of Legnano and the Ats Milano Ovest intervened on the spot. Also present were the local police officers of the Municipality of Parabiago, who carried out the surveys.
