Cuneo – The funeral of Monsignor Aldo Giordano, who died this afternoon, Thursday 2 December in the university clinic of Leuven in Belgium, will take place in the cathedral of Cuneo, but the date of the funeral still remains to be determined.
This was confirmed by the bishop of Cuneo Monsignor Piero Delbosco: “I spoke with his brother Angelo who was next to Monsignor Aldo and I gave my full availability to the celebration in the Cathedral, when the Belgian authorities issue the necessary visa. It will still take a few days. I also agreed to bury him in the tombs of the bishops in the crypt of the Cathedral, but it seems that Aldo had already expressed his desire to be placed in the tomb of the priests in the cemetery of San Benigno ”.
Monsignor Giordano is in fact originally from the hamlet of Cuneo, where he was born and raised with his parents, brothers and sister. He leaves his brother Angelo and his sister Bruna, former mayor of Tarantasca.
