2 December – A new hospitalization, 10 positives. Molise becomes ‘orange’ in Europe

Yesterday in Molise 19 infections and 35 recovered. Zero hospitalizations and zero deaths

10 INFECTIONS AND 11 HEALED

Out of 503 molecular swabs processed, 10 new cases of Sars-Cov-2 infection have emerged in Molise. The positivity rate is now almost 2% and, just like yesterday, the recovered outnumber the newly infected. The 10 cases are distributed as follows: 3 in Termoli, 2 in Campobasso, 1 respectively in Guglionesi, Petacciato, San Giacomo degli Schiavoni, Sepino and Spinete.

The healed today are from Isernia (4 cases), Monteroduni (3), Mafalda (2), Guglionesi (1) and Sesto Campano (1). Therefore, the number of positives currently in the region drops to 431. Of these, only 13 are in hospital.

OTHER ADMISSION IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES, IT IS NOW 13

Of the 13 hospitalized (12 in Infectious Diseases and 1 in Intensive Care), one made his entrance to the hospital in the last few hours. It is a middle-aged woman from San Giacomo degli Schiavoni, who is (according to what was reported by Asrem) not vaccinated and whose clinical conditions are fortunately not serious. Therefore, the number of non-immunized in hospital due to the consequences of Covid rises to 10. To complete the picture 2 people immunized with a double dose and 1 with the third.

MAP OF INFECTIONS IN MOLISE MUNICIPALITY BY MUNICIPALITY

Asrem has drawn up the contagion map municipality by municipality, where it has not done so for months. The rise in cases of infection is now well known. The towns / cities currently most affected by the fourth wave are Isernia (92 cases), Guglionesi (86). Termoli follows with 34 cases (increasing in the last few days) while 24 are the cases in the regional capital. The map is updated with the data of December 1st (therefore data of today December 2nd are missing). To date Termoli rises to 37, Campobasso to 26, Guglionesi stable and Isernia drops (due to the healed) to 88.

ECDC MAP, MOLISE ALSO LOSES THE ‘YELLOW’ AND BECOMES ‘RED’

Molise becomes orange (or light red) in the European map drawn up by the ECDC and relating to infections at 14 days per 100 thousand inhabitants. The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control assigns each territory a color ranging from green (lower incidence of infections), a color that has now disappeared from the ‘face of Europe’, to dark red, passing from yellow to orange. Well, Molise (for a long time the green area) in a short time passed to yellow and is now one step away from red. As now a good part of the Italian territory and the vast majority of Europe.

TODAY’S NATIONAL DATA

Today in Italy the threshold of 200 thousand currently positive cases has been exceeded. In particular, in the last 24 hours, 16,806 new cases have been diagnosed (yesterday exceeded 15 thousand since it had not happened for months). The positivity rate was 2.5%. Deaths have dropped compared to yesterday (72 vs 103) while hospitalizations are still rising a little: +50 the beds occupied by Covid patients in ordinary hospitalizations, +12 those in intensive care.
