Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 689 new infections were detected on 8,604 molecular swabs with a positive percentage of 8.01% (yesterday 7.15%). In addition, 19,895 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 81 cases were detected (0.41%, yesterday 0.57%). Today the deaths of 7 people are recorded: specifically, it is a 91-year-old man from Trieste (who died in hospital), a 92-year-old woman from Muggia (who died in a retirement home), a 93-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man both from Cordenons (who died in hospital), an 88-year-old woman from Pordenone (who died in hospital), an 84-year-old man from Travesio (who died in hospital) and finally a 60-year-old man from Gemona del Friuli (died in hospital). People admitted to intensive care are 26 (+2), while patients in other departments are 294 (+5). This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.
The overall deaths amounted to 3,997, with the following territorial subdivision: 919 in Trieste (+2), 2,047 in Udine (+1), 713 in Pordenone (+4) and 318 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 120,867 (+564), the clinically healed 211, while the people in isolation are 7,144 (+175).
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 132,539 people have been positive with the following territorial subdivision: 31,194 in Trieste (+223), 57,359 in Udine (+201), 25,694 in Pordenone (+199), 16,462 in Gorizia (+ 130) and 1,830 from outside the region (+12). The total of positive cases was reduced by 5 units following as many antigenic tests not confirmed by molecular swab.
As regards the regional health system, the positivity of a nurse and two health and social workers from the Central Friuli University Health Authority was found; of four nurses and a physiotherapist from the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority; a nurse from the Western Friuli Healthcare Company; of two nurses at Irccs Burlo Garofolo in Trieste.
Six cases were then detected among the guests of the residences for the elderly in the region (Trieste and Spilimbergo) while ten operators within the structures themselves (Trieste, Morsano al Tagliamento, Udine and Gradisca d’Isonzo) were positive. Finally, the presence of two positive people, one returning from Hungary and one from another region, should be noted.
