Over 7,000 trains
The new winter timetable 2021-2022 of Trenitalia will start on 12 December, which provides for a total of over 7,000 trains a day, 230 Frecce but also 94 Intercity and 24 Intercity Night for medium-sized towns and provincial capitals. New destinations for the Regional with its 6,800 daily trains, to travel also with your own bicycle thanks to the over 20,000 bicycle spaces available per day, with recharging points for e-bikes. The regional fleet, already renewed for about 50%, will see the arrival of 105 new trains in 2022. The winter timetable is “a new beginning”, said the CEO of Trenitalia (FS group) Luigi Corradi who presented the timetable at Milan Central Station. because “a new journey begins, we are increasingly trying to do something new, we want to be as close as possible to those who take the train to organize a different service with the various services that are more integrated with each other, under the banner of intermodality”. The non-stop Frecce return from December 12, while the regional trains, with 1.1 million journeys a day, are approaching the 1.6 million pre-Covid, after the collapse of 2020. – “Christmas bookings are growing in important way.
