In Emilia Romagna
In Emilia Romagna, 1,223 more swabs were recorded than on Sunday, out of a total of 20,186 swabs performed in the last 24 hours (10,059 molecular swabs and 10,127 rapid swabs). The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made since Sunday is 6%: a value that is not indicative of the general trend given the number of tampons performed, which on Sunday is lower than on other days. Furthermore, on holidays, especially the molecular ones, are made primarily on cases for which a positive result is often expected.
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 272 new cases, followed by Rimini (178); then Modena (155), Reggio Emilia (122) and Ravenna (109 cases); then Ferrara (89), Forlì (83), Cesena (74) and Parma (72); finally, the Imolese district (49) and Piacenza (20 cases). Of the newly infected, 566 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 347 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 428 were identified within already known foci. The average age of new positives on Monday is 41.4 years.
Of the 566 asymptomatic, 248 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 22 with serological screening, 24 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 4 through pre-admission tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 268 cases. As for the total number of people healed, they are 396 more than on Sunday and reach 420,782. The active cases, that is the actual patients, on Monday are 20,287 (+820). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 19,558 (+785) overall, 96.4% of the total number of active cases.
Unfortunately, there are six other deaths in the region: two in the province of Bologna (an 83-year-old woman and an 88-year-old man), one in the province of Ferrara (a 71-year-old man), one in the province of Ravenna (a woman 96 years old), one in the province of Rimini (an 83-year-old man).
