The data for Sunday 28 November

There are 12,932 the new cases * of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday there were 12,877, here the bulletin). The number of people who contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) has thus risen to at least 5,007,818 since the beginning of the epidemic. THE deaths reported today ** there are 47 (yesterday there were 90); for a total of 133,674 victims from February 2020.

People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.687.701 and 5,383 those who came out of the Covid nightmare today (6,451 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – appear to be 186,443 in all, equal to +7.497 compared to yesterday (+6,328 the day before).

* The Abruzzo Region reports that the data relating to positive cases, to people tested and to swabs processed could be partial and incomplete due to a temporary and unexpected malfunction, outside the control of the Regional Administration, which occurred between 15.00 and 22.00 on 27/11. The Emilia Romagna Region reports that 2 cases, positive to antigen test but not confirmed by molecular swab, have been eliminated. The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region reports that the total number of positive cases was reduced by 3 following 3 antigenic tests not confirmed by subsequent molecular swabs.

** The Campania Region reports that a death registered today dates back to 11/21/2021. The Region of Sicily reports that the deaths reported today are attributable to the days: 11/27/21 (n. 3) and 11/26/21 (n. 1).

The swabs and the scenario

I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 512,592, or 84,306 less than yesterday when they were 596,898. While the rate of positivity 2.5%: yesterday it was 2.1%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.

The health system

The beds occupied in the ordinary Covid wards are +138 (yesterday +78), for a total of 4,964 hospitalized. THE citizens who have completed the vaccination cycle are over 45.6 million (84.4% of the population over 12). 47.1 million people (87.2% of vaccinables) have received at least one single dose. While the booster (dose booster) was administered to more than 5.5 million Italians (38.63% of the population subjected to the booster dose).
