Accident in the A10, an 18-year-old died, a section of the motorway to Genoa closed

At around 7.30 am, on the A10 Genoa-Savona motorway, the section between Albisola and Celle Ligure in the direction of Genoa was closed due to a car accident – a red Mini Cooper – inside the Fighetto tunnel. The section was then reopened but runs in one lane only and 8 km of queue were formed.

In the accident, which occurred at 34.900 km, the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old girl, lost her life. No other vehicles were involved: the car crashed for reasons to be clarified. On board the car was a 23-year-old young man, brought in yellow code to the San Paolo hospital in Savona. A dog was also missing in the accident, in the car with the two.

On the spot, where there is a kilometer of queue, medical and mechanical rescues, traffic police patrols and the staff of the First Section of Genoa of Autostrade per l’Italia intervened.

For users heading to Genoa, it is advisable to exit at Albisola and return to Celle Ligure, after having taken the Aurelia state road.
