After the sentence a 3 years and 6 months in prison, the former footballer, among others, of Palermo, Fiorentina e Juventus, Fabrizio Miccoli, was delivered around 13 to the prison of Rovigo. Yesterday came the sentence of the judges of the second criminal section of the Court of Cassation who found him guilty of extortion aggravated by the mafia method, confirming the January 2020 ruling of the Palermo Court of Appeal.

A sentence that did not admit any alternative measure to detention, thus forcing the former bomber to spend the next few months in prison. Miccoli was accused of having commissioned a Mauro Lauricella, son of the boss of the stay, Antonino, said the sparkle – who is already serving a 7-year sentence in prison – the task of recovering 12 thousand euros by the entrepreneur Andrea Graffagnini, owner of the nightclub Paparazzi, on behalf of the former Palermo physiotherapist Giorgio Gasparini, who turned to Miccoli to collect the debt. It was the latter who involved Lauricella with whom he was on friendly terms when he wore the Palermo shirt.

In the documents of the investigation also some interceptions between Miccoli and the son of the Kalsa boss: the player defined Giovanni Falcone “That mud” while he was waiting for his friend in via Notarbartolo, near the house where the magistrate lived. For these words, Miccoli publicly apologized in tears.
