She had come to Italy from Hungary to participate in the sister’s wedding, but she died hit by two cars while she was outside the restaurant, a Torre di Mosto (Venice), where the wedding dinner was still in progress. The victim, Mercedesz Vivien Zakor, 23-year-old Hungarian, died instantly from severe trauma. She had left the dining room, perhaps to get some fresh air. Some witnesses have only seen her leave her seat at the table, and walk towards the exit. Shortly after the tragedy, while friends and relatives were celebrating the couple.
The 23-year-old passed the gate of the agricultural residence, a prestigious structure in the middle of the Venetian countryside about twenty kilometers from Caorle, without realizing that it had invaded part of the road. The area was covered in thick fog and visibility was reduced to about two meters. Suddenly a car arrived and hit the foreigner making her jump onto the other side of the road while a second car arrived and overwhelmed the woman again. The Portogruaro carabinieri arrived on the scene and tried, among other things, to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. The drivers of the two cars were investigated for road murder.
