They are accused of having promised and then facilitated, in exchange for bribes, some participants in competitions for recruitment in corps of the Armed Forces (Carabinieri, Army and Air Force) and in the Penitentiary Police to pass the psycho-aptitude tests.
The prison police carried out 14 precautionary measures against as many suspects accused by the Naples Public Prosecutor of corruption. The investigations have made it possible to shed light on a series of episodes that saw as protagonists, between the end of 2020 and the first half of 2021, two agents of the Penitentiary, already in prison.
From the investigative activity of the Nic of the Penitentiary Police, coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor’s Office, it emerged that on four occasions, between January and June of this year (January 8, February 12, May 8 and 21 June) the former agent presented to the training school negative certificates from an analysis laboratory in the province of Avellino that had been modified. In the documents of the investigation they appear several wiretaps and the investigating judge of Naples Federica Colucci underlines, in the precautionary custody order, the “extreme gravity of the crime alleged” to the three suspects (material falsehood committed by the public official in public documents and material falsehood committed by the private reiterated and in competition). For the judge, “what is more serious is the repetition of the falsification in a short period of time and the gratuitousness of such conduct”. If the candidate “had tested positive, her absence from the course would have been fully justified”, underlines the judge.
