She died of Covid at the age of 26, two months after losing her second child born premature at just 24 weeks. The heart of Antonietta, a young mother originally from Montano Antilia, a small town in Cilento, but domiciled in Ascea, stopped beating yesterday in the intensive care unit of the “Federico II” hospital in Naples. At the Nosocomio Nosocomio, equipped with a department dedicated to Covid positive pregnant women, she had reached the end of August, at the 24th week of pregnancy, in serious condition after contracting the virus.
The doctors were forced to deliver the daughter prematurely, but the little girl gave up a few days after she was born. Yesterday, after more than two months of struggle in intensive care and despite the fact that in the meantime she had become negativized, her mother also died, leaving her husband and a son. The communities of Montano Antilia and Ascea are under shock.
