over 700 more in Emilia Romagna. An over one hundred year old dies in Forlì

Covid-19 infections continue to grow in the Forlì area. And in the bulletin on Friday there is another victim, a 102-year-old over 100 from Forlì. Compared to Thursday there are 66 new positives, 55 of which with symptoms. This is the distribution of cases: 43 Forlì, 5 Meldola, 4 Predappio and Forlimpopoli, 3 Santa Sofia, 2 Rocca San Casciano and Tredozio, 1 Bertinoro, Dovadola and Modigliana. In the province, the new infections are 147, while the healed are 42.

In Emilia-Romagna there were 712 more swabs than on Thursday, out of a total of 27,419 swabs performed in the last 24 hours (14,171 molecular swabs and 13,248 rapid swabs). The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made since Thursday is 2.6%. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 134 new cases and Modena with 120; followed by Ravenna (87) and Cesena (79); then Forlì (66), Rimini (52), Parma and Reggio Emilia (both 39 cases). Then Ferrara (36), Imola (34) and finally Piacenza with 26 cases.

Of the newly infected, 224 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 291 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 426 were identified within already known foci. The average age of new positives on Friday is 41.5. Of the 224 asymptomatic, 150 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 2 with serological screening, 32 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 40 cases.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 316 more than on Thursday and they reach 414,760. The active cases, that is the actual patients, on Friday are 9,760 (+392). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms who do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 9,356 (+390) overall, 95.9% of the total number of active cases. In addition to the death in the Forlì area, there are three other deaths: one in Piacenza (a 73-year-old man), one in Imola (a 96-year-old man) and one in Ravenna (a 57-year-old woman). In total, there have been 13,648 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic. There are 42 patients admitted to intensive care (+2 compared to Thursday), 362 those in the other Covid departments.
