The weekly incidence nationwide continues to increase: 78 per 100 thousand inhabitants (05/11 / 2021-11 / 11/2021) against 53 per 100 thousand inhabitants last week (29/10 / 2021-04 / 11/2021, data from the Ministry of Health). The transmissibility index Rt also rises: in the period 20 October – 2 November 2021, the average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was equal to 1.21 (range 1.08 – 1.31), an increase compared to the previous week (when it was equal to 1.15) and stably above the epidemic threshold. o highlights the monitoring of the control room, the data of which are communicated by the Higher Institute of Health.

The transmissibility index based on cases with hospitalization (Rt = 1.14 (1.1-1.19) at 02/11/2021 vs Rt = 1 is stable and above the epidemic threshold, detects the monitoring 12 (1.06-1.17) as of 10/26/2021). The estimates of Rt are believed to be insensitive to the recent increase in the number of swabs performed, since these estimates are based only on symptomatic and / or hospitalized cases.

The level of occupancy of hospital beds for Covid-19 increases: the employment rate in intensive care is 4.4% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of 11 November) against 4.0% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of 04/11). The employment rate in medical areas nationwide rose to 6.1% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health on 11 November) against 5.3% on 28/10. This is evidenced by the monitoring of the control room, the data of which are communicated by the Higher Institute of Health. However, the values remain below the alert threshold set at 10% and 15%.

Twenty Regions and Autonomous Provinces are classified this week at moderate risk. Solo Calabria is classified as low risk. Last week, however, all the Regions and Autonomous Provinces were classified at moderate risk. In addition, 11 Regions / PPAAs report a resilience alert. None reports multiple resilience alerts. This is evidenced by the monitoring of the control room, the data of which are communicated by the Higher Institute of Health.
