AGI – The Israeli part of the family of Eitan Biran, the only 6-year-old child who survived the massacre of the Mottarone cable car, appealed to the court of appeal to block the return of the children to Italy: this is what we read in the Israeli press.
This week, Italian justice issued an international arrest warrant for the grandfather who took Eitan to Israel on a private jet last September. Last month, an Israeli court ruled that the child return to his relatives in Italy, as this is the “place of his normal residence”.
He also ordered his grandfather, Shmuel Peleg, who had brought him to Israel against the will of his family members in Italy, to pay approximately $ 20,000 in legal fees and expenses. Speaking to reporters outside the courtroom, Peleg’s lawyer, Ronen Dalyahu, expected the court to rule “in the next few days”.
