A surge in positives in La Spezia: there are 121 in one day

Part of the increase is explained by an IT mishap. But the leap in the number of positives in La Spezia is still important and very worrying. Today the ASL5 counts 275. Of these, 154 are attributable to the period between 4 and 7 November, when technical IT problems occurred in data transmission to ALISA. The fact remains that, by isolating the anomaly, they remain 121 cases referable to the last twenty-four hours. The total of positives, referring to the residence of the person tested, therefore jumps to 660. Yesterday they were “only” 459, Monday they were 462 and Sunday 465.

Liguria. There are 431 new Covid-19 positives today, compared to 5,411 molecular swabs carried out in the last 24 hours, to which are added another 9,029 rapid antigenic swabs. The detail, referring to the residence of the person tested: Imperia 52, Savona 27, Genoa 75 and, as mentioned, La Spezia 275. Two of the new positives are not attributable to the residence in Liguria. The total comes to 2948: there are 1432 in Genoa, 361 in Imperia, 336 in Savona and 660 in La Spezia. There are 48 cases residing outside the region and 111 swabs are being investigated.

Hospitalized. Basically stable in the region (+1), but growing in the ASL5. At the Sant’Andrea hospital there are two more hospitalizations, bringing the total to 13, including three patients in intensive care.

Deaths. The loss of a patient was recorded at the Galliera hospital in Genoa. It is a 63-year-old woman who passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021.

Home isolation. Measure applied to 90 new citizens, for a total of 1503.

Healed. There are 171 more, totaling 108928.

Active surveillance. It concerns 281 La Spezia and 2404 Ligurians.

Vaccines. 2,329,057 were administered, equal to 91% of those delivered.
