This was announced by the Lombardy Region, which also opens the door to vaccinated people abroad.

From Thursday 11 November, as indicated by the commissioner, all citizens, vaccinated for at least six months with a single dose of Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) can access the booster with an m-RNA vaccine.

Reservations must be made through the regional platform www.prenotazionevaccinicovid.regione.lombardia.it

At the same time, in accordance with national indications, even subjects vaccinated abroad with a vaccine not authorized in Europe can receive a booster dose..

They will also be given an m-RNA vaccine (Comirnaty or Spikevax) starting at 28 days and up to a maximum of 6 months (180 days) from the completion of the primary course. In this case, access to the vaccination centers is direct without the need for a reservation. This recall generates a green pass valid for 12 months.

For those who, on the other hand, have exceeded the maximum term of 6 months from the completion of the primary course with vaccine not authorized in Europe, as well as in case of non-completion of the same, it is allowed to proceed with a complete primary course (2 doses), by booking the first dose of m-RNA vaccine through the dedicated regional platform.

«The excellent organization of the vaccination campaign – explains the vice president and councilor for Welfare of the Lombardy Region, Letizia Moratti – and the great civic sense of the Lombards have allowed us to get out of the nightmare of a pervasive epidemic that has caused a lot of suffering. Today the booster dose, while maintaining control over the circulation of the virus, intends to repeat that action with the same guarantee of effectiveness “.

“Coronavirus – concludes vice president Moratti – still circulates in our country and we must always remember it. For this reason, now, it remains a priority to support the restart and preserve the health facilities, in view of a possible increase in infections. We therefore continue to get vaccinated and we always respect the prevention and safety rules ».
