Pensions, the age for the female option remains at 58. Here are the 2022 requirements

After the staircase in the passage between Quota 100 and the Fornero law in its full version, the “step” of the Woman Option also jumps. Which would have materialized with the raising of the registry threshold for the early exit of female workers, in possession of at least 35 years of contributions, from the current 58 years (59 for the “self-employed”) to 60 years (61 again for the sector of the self-employment). An increase inserted in the text of the budget bill passed to the Council of Ministers for approval, but which will no longer be provided for by the final article of the maneuver on which Parliament will have to pronounce.

Unless last-minute second thoughts (always possible), the registry requirement should remain at 58 for next year as well. With the already known constraint for female workers who decide to use this exit channel: the recalculation of the pension allowance in an entirely “contributory” configuration. And this seems to be the path that the government seems willing to take for all pension outgoings before the 67-year old age limit starting in 2023.

In 2022, early exit for women no longer rises to 60

The intense pressure of the majority (from the Democratic Party to the League), as well as the unions, led the government to quickly rethink the requirements for accessing the Woman Option, which will be extended for 2022, as well as the social Ape in an extended version. to new categories of heavy work. The intention to raise the age threshold to 60, with a consequent “step” compared to the current threshold, has already been abandoned. The ministries of Economy and Labor have set to work to recover the resources necessary to maintain the current early exit scheme with 58 years of age (59 for the “self-employed”) and at least 35 in payments, to be accrued by the end of this year. An operation that is not impossible given the relatively low utilization recorded so far for this instrument: in 2019 the requests for the women’s option accepted by the INPS were 21,090 and in 2020 14,510.

For 2023, the hypothesis of a contribution advance for all

The use of the female option is subject to the contribution recalculation of the early retirement pension. A mechanism that Mario Draghi likes and that could be proposed by the government at the table with the social partners that will open in the coming weeks to try to define a new pension structure from 2023, after Quota 102 will be exhausted at the end of next year ( exit with 64 years of age and 38 of contributions), wanted by the government to make the transition between Quota 100, which expires in December 2021, and the Fornero law in full version (including the provisions in force that the previous year) more gradual ).

In other words, for those wishing (or “should”) leave work before being in possession of the “old age” requirements, a fully contributory treatment would be triggered, calculated on the payments and on the contribution seniority actually accrued, with a consequent reduction compared to a check including a “salary slice”. In this way there would be a sort of alignment to the exit channel already provided for by the Fornero law for fully “contributory” subjects (those who started working after 31 December 1995), which already allows retirement with a minimum of 64 years age and 20 contributions.
