2,834 new cases and 41 deaths, hospitalizations on the rise

The coronavirus epidemic in Italy: today’s bulletin, Tuesday 2 November 2021. There are 2,834 new coronavirus infections today 2 November 2021 in Italy, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and Ministry of Health. There are another 41 deaths.

There were 238,354 extra swabs with a positivity rate of nearly 1.2%. The number of people hospitalized for Covid has increased (+129) in Italy since yesterday, rising in total to 2,992. Intensive care admissions also rise (+21) reaching 385 with 34 admissions a day.

Coronavirus, the contagion map

Today in the Lazio, there were 388 new positive cases (-57), down compared to Tuesday 26 October (-49); 5 deaths (+2), 433 hospitalized (+26), 58 intensive care (+1) and 406 recovered.

382 new Covid positives have been discovered in Sicily between yesterday and today on a total of 13,028 swabs processed. The island is thus second for daily increase among the Italian regions, immediately after Lazio with 388 new cases out of a total of 21,386. Boom of new cases in the Catania area where 239 are the new infected. The total number of the current infected rises to 227 people. 152 are healed while another 3 victims are recorded, bringing the total deaths to 7,022.

There are 336 coronavirus infections in Veneto today. As of yesterday, one death was registered. New cases were identified on 15,736 swabs, the positivity rate is 2.13%. Covid patients hospitalized are 257 (+9): 218 in non-critical area, 39 in intensive care.

Since the start of the Coronavirus epidemic, in EmiliaRomagna 433,011 cases of positivity were recorded, 334 more than yesterday, out of a total of 15,962 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. There are eight deaths. There are 29 patients admitted to intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday), 320 those in the other Covid departments (+12).

There are 248 new cases of positivity to Covid-19 in Campania out of 11,491 tests analyzed yesterday. In today’s bulletin released by the Crisis Unit of the Campania Region, 10 new deaths are included, 7 of which occurred in the last 48 hours and 3 occurred previously, but recorded yesterday. In Campania there are 22 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care (+2 compared to yesterday) and 269 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards (+10 compared to yesterday’s figure).

There are 213 new positive cases of coronavirus registered in the last 24 hours in Lombardy. According to the data released by the Lombardy Region, the swabs carried out were 42,619, for a positivity index of 0.4%. No deaths have been recorded since yesterday, while 34,162 have died since the start of the pandemic. 293 people are hospitalized in Lombardy hospitals, 5 more than yesterday, and 48 people in intensive care, 3 more.

In Tuscany 190 new Covid cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 290,031 at the beginning of the Coronavirus health emergency. There are 299 hospitalized (16 more than yesterday), of which 28 in intensive care (stable). Today there are 4 new deaths: 2 men and 2 women with an average age of 69.5 years.

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia out of 1,667 molecular swabs, 144 new infections were detected with a positive percentage of 8.64%. In addition, 6,459 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 16 cases (0.25%) were detected. There are four deaths today. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care has dropped to 17, while 79 patients are hospitalized in other departments.

There are 83 new coronavirus infections today 2 November 2021 in Puglia, according to the data of the last bulletin of the Region. No new deaths. The new cases of positivity recorded on 14,824 daily tests. There are 3,119 people currently positive in Puglia, 141 those hospitalized in a non-critical area, 20 people in intensive care. Since the beginning of the emergency there have been 273,092 total cases in the Region, 4,217,532 tests performed, 263,138 people healed and 6,835 deaths.

In Basilicata there are 33 new cases of contagion from Sars Cov-2 (all residents), out of a total of 772 molecular swabs, and there are no deaths from Covid-19. These are the data from the regional bulletin of the task force referring to the last three days. The Lucanians recovered or negativized are 18. The hospitalized in the hospitals of Potenza and Matera are 26 (+4) of which none in intensive care while the current positives residing in Basilicata are in all 845. For the vaccination, 520 administrations were carried out yesterday.

There are 17 new positive Covid cases registered today in Abruzzo, which bring the total from the beginning of the emergency to 83051. The death toll of patients does not register new cases and remains stable at 2562. 61 patients (+6 compared to yesterday) hospitalized in the medical area; 9 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 1861 (-22 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL.

No deaths and five new positive cases at Covid 19 in Valle of Aosta. The total positive cases therefore rise to 12,315. The current positive cases are 79 of which 74 in home isolation and five hospitalized. The healed are a total of 11,762, +6 compared to yesterday.
