First the barrier of Treporti was raised in the lagoon and now that of Lido San Nicolò is rising. A maximum tide of 115 centimeters is expected for tomorrow at 9.20pm and a peak of 140 at 10pm for Wednesday.

The gates of the Mose will rise tonight in Venice to defend the city from the high water which at 20.45 should reach a height of 130 centimeters. The lifting operations will begin around 6 pm but the teams of technicians who will take care of the intervention are already in early warning. Based on the weather forecast for the next few days, it is very likely that Mose will rise again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
