Viterbo – (sc) – The assembly of the National Association of “Europassione per Italia” will be held next Saturday 30 October in Viterbo, in the Limonaia room of the Colle del Duomo museum next to the prestigious Palazzo dei Papi.

A recurring appointment that brings together the representatives of the 38 Italian localities that adhere to the association to analyze and reorganize the programmatic activities and to strengthen the partnership that has united for almost twenty years the communities of some small and medium-sized centers of almost all the Italian regions on the theme of safeguarding the sacred representations and rites of Holy Week.

“Europassione per l’Italia” has been committed, since 2004, to creating a solid network of associations led since its origins by President Flavio Sialino, whose mission is linked and strongly motivated by the historic agreement with the “Passio Domini in Europe ”based in Ligny (Belgium), which since 1984 has involved 16 European countries in the dissemination and enhancement of the themes of Holy Week.

Several communities, distributed along the boot, are united by a centuries-old representative tradition that evokes and stages, in some cases for centuries, the “Passion of Christ” in the various forms of popular-religious theater. A tradition that has become, over time, a sought-after historical, artistic and cultural heritage to be preserved and enhanced.

On the basis of the important shared path that has characterized the activities of the associations of the network, Europassione per l’Italia, which represents this immense heritage, in 2013 he launched the “Unesco Perspective” project followed by Patrizia Nardi, an expert in the enhancement of cultural heritage and Unesco nominations and technical-scientific manager of the course.
