“The world of No Green Pass has been unleashed on Telegram for a few hours, there are my phone numbers, my email, there is talk of beheading”. This was announced by the mayor of Milan Beppe Sala in a video on his social pages in which he told how his words on how to manage the Saturday afternoon demonstrations of the ‘No Green pass’ have been misrepresented by some newspapers and this would have led to threats on the net. Sala explained that he had participated a few days ago in a television broadcast (‘L’Aria che terà on La7) where he was asked about the inconveniences that affect Milan every Saturday for the No Green Pass event. Investigations were initiated by the Digos and the Postal Police, with the coordination of Alberto Nobili, deputy anti-terrorism prosecutor. An information file will be opened in the prosecutor’s office, in particular to understand the origin of these threats and the level of danger of the subjects involved.

“I replied that the police could only do one thing, load them, which obviously I understand that the prefect does not intend to do – explained Sala -. Going on then I say that more men and women of the police on the field would be needed to contain them since load option does not exist “. The next day “look at the headlines of two newspapers. The Truth, ‘Sala, the Police load the no Green pass’, Il Giornale ‘Sala, just load the processions no Green pass’. First of all I will sue the two newspapers, then I will try to don’t worry. But I want to tell everyone that right now you don’t mess with fire “, he concluded.

And it is on the now famous Telegram chat ‘Enough dictatorship that they started writing threats and insults to Sala, asking to spread his home address and talking about beheadings. Material that, according to Palazzo Marino, is already being examined by the postal police. In recent months, prosecutors have already investigated threats and plans for violence that took place through Telegram channels. An investigation, coordinated by prosecutor Piero Basilone, concerns the so-called “warriors”, a chat in which targets were identified, in particular journalists and politicians. Eight people investigated in that investigation.

“Solidarity with Beppe Sala. Episodes like these also tell us how dangerous disinformation made by any press is. We express full closeness to the mayor for what happened and a firm condemnation of these methods. No space for those who use and spread violence. We continue to defend green passes and vaccinations and we are sure that Sala will not be intimidated “, said Pd Secretary Silvia Roggiani.

“We are close and we express all our solidarity and that of the business world to Mayor Sala for the very serious threats received. Threats that reveal a very worrying degeneration of the problems relating to the use of the green pass. A tool thanks to which civil life is restarting and economic conditions of our country and of Milan. Obviously, dissent is more than legitimate, but it can never translate into violent expressions and actions, including the paralysis of cities due to unauthorized demonstrations. In this still so difficult phase, it is necessary to urgently find unity of intentions – despite the diversity of positions – bearing in mind that the common enemy to be defeated is the pandemic and not the solutions to fight it “: so comments Carlo Sangalli, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Confcommercio.
