The Ecomondo-Key Energy fair, the main European exhibition on the issues of the green revolution, opens tomorrow. The fair (26-29 October, at the Rimini exhibition center) will be open to the public from 9 to 18. In this context, Key Energy will explore the theme of renewable energy and zero-emission mobility. A particular focus is dedicated this year to the electric transition of the Emilian Motor Valley, thanks to the collaboration between the Italian Exibition Group, the Vaielettrico site and the MOTUS-E Association.

Ecomondo-Key Energy are therefore back in attendance after the stop imposed last year by the pandemic. With over a thousand brands and an occupancy of the pavilions area equal to 90% compared to the levels of 2019, the two events will bring to the fair the technological innovations of the different worlds of the green economy, and, in the calendar of conferences, the utmost attention to opportunities that the PNRR and the European Green Deal offer to companies and public administrations in Italy.

States General of the Green Economy at the tenth seal
Immediately after, the 10th edition of the States General of the Green Economy, promoted by the National Council of the Green Economy, during which the 2021 Report on the state of the Green Economy in Italy will be presented. The document, illustrated by Edo Ronchi, President of the Foundation for Sustainable Development, he will investigate the results achieved in ten years and the strategic role of the green economy looking to 2030, with a focus on digitization for the ecological transition.
To achieve the climate neutrality targets set by the European Green Deal, our country should reduce energy consumption by 15% and fossil consumption by 40% by 2030, double renewable sources on total primary energy consumption from 20 to 40. %, increase renewable electricity from 40 to 70%. The sentiment of Italians is favorable, as revealed by the Ipsos survey carried out on behalf of the Foundation for Sustainable Development and Ecomondo: according to86% of the respondents the ecological transition is an opportunity in terms of investment, innovation and new employment.
The inaugural conference of Key Energy is instead set for tomorrow afternoon, at 2.30 pm, with the event dedicated to the “Opportunities for Italy linked to PNRR”, during which the report created exclusively for the IEG exhibition by the ‘Energy Strategy Group of the Politecnico di Milano on the analysis of the energy transition incentive policies contained in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and on the assessment of their effects on the Country System.
