We recently found out that Warner Bros. has registered a new gaming brand: Multiversus. While missing official information, a leak on Reddit explained that it would be a Super Smash Bros. style fighting game. Now, the journalist Jeff Grubb confirms what has been indicated, except for one detail which, according to him, is wrong.
Via Twitter, Jeff Grubb explains that the platform fighter of Warner Bros is real, but that – contrary to what is reported – it is not a NetherRealm game. This team is used to dealing with fighting games, but with darker and more classic works, such as Mortal Kombat and Injustice. Grubb concludes, in another tweet, that they should have called this game Super Smash Warner Bros. This is obviously a joke.
According to the rumor, which now acquires greater validity thanks to the confirmation of Jeff Grubb, within Multiversus we will find personages from various franchises. For example, there will be Shaggy from Scooby Doo, but also Gandalf, Jhonny Bravo, Harry and Ron, Tom & Jerry and more. For all the details on Multiversus, you can refer to our dedicated news.
The idea of a Smash Bros. based on the Warner franchises you intrigue? Or the work of Nintendo is enough and advances?
