Il Global Pension Index 2021

The ranking of the best pension systems in the world, updated to 2021, was created and disseminated by the Mercer Cfa Institute. Italy, out of 43 countries examined, is in position number 32: this is because, according to the data, two of the three indexes analyzed (adequacy, for the overall system, and integrity, with regard to transparency and governance) by the survey are good but the third, sustainability (referring to the country system as a whole, i.e. GDP, demographics, pension expenditure), the most deficient. This was revealed by the Global Pension Index 2021, the study that has been comparing the pension and social security systems of the most developed countries for some time. Instead, let’s see what are the best pension systems in the world.
