MILAN. The hearing before the Juvenile Court of Milan has been postponed to next December 1, where today the discussion on the case of Eitan began, the child who survived the tragedy of the Mottarone cable car and at the center of a dispute between his maternal grandparents and paternal aunt appointed legal guardian of the child. In recent weeks, the parties will be able, as far as has been known, to file documents. The judges invited the parties to silence the press.
At the beginning of the hearing, according to what has been learned, the judges invited the two parties to keep the press silence until the end of the proceedings underway before the Juvenile Court and this above all to protect the minor. At the center of today’s hearing was the complaint of the maternal grandparents against the order of 9 August of the Court of Pavia which had essentially decided the confirmation of the decision of the Court of Turin on the appointment of paternal aunt Aya as legal guardian. Also in Tel Aviv, in the proceedings activated on the basis of the Hague Convention on the international abduction of minors, the Court invited the lawyers and the two family branches to silence the press. The Israeli court will have to decide in the coming days whether or not Eitan should return to Italy, as requested by her paternal aunt. The Italian lawyers, as far as has been known, are expecting a decision by October 26th. This measure can then be appealed in any case.
