It still does not exist, it has an unpronounceable name, yet it is already the object of desire, sold in millions of doses. Officially it is called molnupiravir, but for everyone it is “the Merck pill”. It promises those infected to fight the symptoms of Covid by swallowing it with a sip of water. But the reality is not that simple.
A potential drug only
The first problem is that molnupiravir still isn’t there: at the moment no pharmaceutical authority has approved it.
