Tatay, video installation by Marina Ballo Charmet

Milano – From 29 October to 28 November 2021 the Triennale of Milan presents Dad, video installation of Marina Ballo Charmet, made with the friendly collaboration of Ludovico Einaudi.

Milano – Dad (word which means dad in Filipino) is a sound environment in which in the dark twelve voices intertwine and follow each other to form a single voice that becomes ancestral and primordial. It’s voices of fathers from different countries and languages ​​singing a lullaby to their child. The installation is completed by a video with the image of a gesture that is repeated and glimpsed: that of a father who cradles his baby from left to right and vice versa.

Milano – On the occasion of the inauguration of the video installation on October 28, 2021 at 6.30 pm one is scheduled lectio by Jean-Francois Chevrier, curator, historian and art critic, entitled Talking Parent / Friendly Parent accompanied by interventions by Stefano Boeri, president of the Milan Triennale, Lorenza Bravetta, photography curator of the Milan Triennale, e Marina Ballo Charmet.

The video installation can be visited at free entry from 29 October to 28 November 2021 in opening time of the Milan Triennale, i.e. every day from 11.00 to 20.00 (last admission at 19.00).
