No Green Pass, in Genoa the policemen offer focaccia to the demonstrators: “They told us to hold on”

Applause and hugs. Two Genoese policemen, this morning, brought the focaccia to the protesters against the obligation of the Green Pass who are blocking the port crossing of Ponte Etiopia in Genoa. In a video released by the Dire agency, we see two agents who are repeatedly hugged by those who are implementing the protest, which has reached its fifth consecutive day. “The police came to bring us focaccia and sweets – explains a voiceover – and told us hold on. I have no words, I have tears in my eyes”. Already yesterday, to ease the tension as happened also in Trieste, the agents had taken off their helmets in front of the No Green Pass protest at the nearby Albertazzi port gate. A decidedly different relationship between demonstrators and police forces compared to that seen in the last hours in Trieste. On the other hand, the protest in Genoa so far has always been peaceful and, in fact, has never stopped port operations, but only slowed down traffic.
