The commissioner recalls that he has been addressing the issue with RFI for three years, “now we need the certainty of the start of the work, after the French side did not accept the RFI project which has committed itself in a short time to make another one. I trust that by 2022 there will be 3,000 volt electrification in Ventimiglia, it cannot be an economic problem for RFI because Ligurian transport is at stake. If there is a need we will also ask for the intervention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. if it is released, cross-border travel, tourists and goods to France will be at risk.
