Accidents in the Euro 2020 final, Uefa punishes England

The England national team will have to play their next home game in Uefa competitions behind closed doors. This was established by the ethical and disciplinary control body of Uefa, following the riots that preceded the final of Euro 2020 at Wembley, which Italy won over England on penalties. The final between the Azzurri and the English11 last July it was preceded by scenes of chaos and violence when some fans without a ticket tried, in many cases and succeeded, to cross the security lines to enter the stadium anyway. The Uefa provision provides for a second match behind closed doors, with a two-year suspension, and a € 100,000 fine.
