Teacher training in classes with pupils with disabilities, the Ministry postpones the deadline to 30 March. NOTE

Note 32063 of 15 October 2021 relating to in-service training of teaching staff for the purpose of including pupils with disabilities pursuant to paragraph 961, art. 1 of the law of 30 December 2020, n. 178 (Ministerial Decree 188 of 21.6.2021). Training is postponed.

The reason for the postponement of the deadline from November 30 to March 30? The cancellation of the DI n. 182/2020 and its annexes provided for by the Lazio Regional Administrative Court ruling no. 9795 of 14 September 2021.

This decision, explains the MI, negatively affected the performance of the training activity, considered mandatory by art. 1, paragraph 961, of the law of 30 December 2020, n. 178, and that it is unlikely that this activity will be completed and reported within the set deadline.

For this reason it is necessary to allow the continuation of the training courses even after the date of 30 November in order to implement the inclusion policies provided for by the aforementioned legislative provision.

In case of impossibility to complete the courses within the foreseen deadlines, the schools can carry on the activity, taking care to complete the planned training by 30 March 2022.

The training, as specified by the ministerial note of 6 September, also involves substitutes with a contract as at 31/08 “when engaged in classes with pupils with disabilities, and therefore fully involved in the educational-didactic planning and in collegial activities”.

10 million euros have been allocated to carry out the training activities.
