Radiators access in Milan and Lombardy from today, Friday 15 October. The time has come. The thermal season opens on Friday 15 October and will allow the heating systems of homes, offices and shops to be switched on until 15 April 2022 up to a maximum time of 14 hours a day.
But from the Municipality comes the appeal “to environmental responsibility”: “The climate is still mild – declares the Councilor for the Environment Elena Grandi – and it is important, where you can and as long as the temperatures allow it, to postpone the ignition radiators or in any case mitigate the degree of heat in the systems. I ask citizens for a gesture of environmental responsibility. We are now all aware of the impact that the heating of buildings has on the levels of atmospheric pollution and on CO2 emissions and for this reason we are called to make conscious choices also in the home and work environments ».
As required by current regulations, please note that the operation of the heating system must be set to guarantee a temperature in homes of 20 ° C with a tolerance of 2 ° C more or less (18/22 ° C). The Municipality of Milan provides the Energy Desk, which can be contacted by phone or email for information and advice.
