(ANSA) – OLBIA, 11 OCT – A count is announced at the last vote for the election of the mayor of Olbia, where the outgoing mayor, Settimo Nizzi, supported by six center-right lists, and Augusto Navone, candidate of the center-left coalition with the support of eight lists. No official number of ballots, but according to the first data coming from the list representatives located in the various polling stations, out of 4,818 ballots, Navone would be ahead with 50.35% of the votes (2,426 preferences) against 49.65% of Nizzi (2,392 preferences).
In Olbia, out of 49,347 entitled to vote, the people who went to the polling stations were 30,031, with a turnout equal to 60.86%, lower than the average of the province of Sassari, where with 23 municipalities called to the polls there was a an average of 65.03% in turnout to the seats.
At the end of the counting, Olbia will have its new mayor, as, since there are only two candidates, the ballot will not be necessary. Who between Nizzi and Navone will take one more vote than the opponent will lead the municipal administration for the next 5 years. (HANDLE).
