Ita was excluded for air continuity.
As in those soap operas in which the ending is never glimpsed, the epic of the competition to assign the territorial continuity of air for Sardinia had a new sudden turning point. After a provisional advantage scored by Ita, the new tricolor carrier born from the ashes of Alitalia, e the looming of a war in court with the excluded Volotea already ready to sharpen its weapons, this afternoon, the regional transport department excluded Ita from the tender for the assignment of the air territorial continuity service.
Reason? Lack of requirements. “This is the start of a negotiated procedure. 12 carriers will soon receive an invitation to present their offers ”, the Region said. Yesterday the Tender Commission asked Ita for clarifications on the fleet and flight authorizations. Additions arrived, but not considered sufficient by the legal offices of the Region. The procedure for aerial territorial continuity involves the three airports of Alghero, Cagliari and Olbia towards the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate.
